Don’t Tweet that!

Twitter doesn’t like right wing folks is a known thing, but and implicit reality is that they dislike people holding neutral views as well. They are classic example of a congress of far-left maniacs, who go by the philosophy that if you are not speaking exactly the same thing as we are, then you are a right wing extremist. Twitter has been extremely successful in propagating a very carefully crafted image of themselves where any enforcement of law over Twitter is seen as a case where govt. is trying to stifle free speech. Law of the lands can go fry themselves, Twitter can not be touched for any reason whatsoever. You can say I am pro-capitalism but I absolutely hate it with any corporation, no matter how much money it has generated for our GDP or how much social good it has done, tries to arm-wrestle an elected govt. and law of the land. Oh, and by the way, Twitter is not even an Indian company!

Arbitrary, dictatorial, biased account suspension by Twitter is a norm

I left Twitter long back when I was suspended for “quoting” facts in a public conversation with a small time social media celebrity (back then they used to tell who reported you, don’t know what’s the situation now). I appealed asking them to prove how come I am promoting enmity between groups when I am just quoting things said by the architect of Indian constitution in his own book. They removed the ban and sent and apology email (I still have it). That thread now had wrong facts and false flow of information for gullible young minds to read and become left leaning just like that social media bee because my comments telling the hard truth and proving that small time social media celebrity wrong, were removed. I asked them how the damage will be reversed, they gave no answer. I came to know (and experience first hand) about shadow banning of anyone who is not far left. Ministry of Information and Broadcasting even called upon the then Twitter CEO to answer, but hey! they are above law of land. They think they are entitled to form one rule for whole world. They use their mile long “Terms & Conditions” page to circumvent around any logic you give them. They won’t publish their monitoring methods, feed algorithm or even fake account counting methods. They are entitled to stifle anyone’s speech at their whim and no one has the privilege to make them accountable.

I am convinced that exposing or complaining about Twitter on Twitter is not gonna hurt twitter, the only way is to leave it for good. I respect Elon Musk for his hard work, but I would like to see Twitter dead for good. (Unless he plans to re-build it from scratch changing all existing policies and internal review methods). Also, I don’t think one person should have the power to mould thoughts of whole planet. There should be other media platforms like Twitter and people themselves should keep a balance by using multiple platforms, just like not everyone uses same bank or same mobile provider.
